BURNETT BACK FROM ORLANDO
 We would like to congratulate our Miss Mississippi's Outstanding Teen, Morgan Lindsey Burnett for her performance at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando. Though Morgan did not win the coveted title, she represented our state with the style and grace which we all expect and she should be very proud of herself... we most definitely are!
We'll be keeping in contact with her and letting you know what's going on but as for now, Morgan is looking forward to beginning her year of service and getting back to school. Working with this incredible and talented young lady has taught us two things: We know that we can expect great things from her in the future AND... she truly is an OUTSTANDING TEEN!

Miss Mississippi 2008, Christine Kozlowski will be the first Miss Mississippi to communicate with pageant fans on the Miss Mississippi Pageant website through a blog.
We've been looking for a way to make our winner more accessible to current fans and to generate a larger fan-base. We think we've found it. Beginning very soon, Christine will begin posting updates to her blog that will let everyone have an peek into what it's like to be Miss Mississippi. She'll discuss things like where she's been, what she's doing, who she's met and maybe even what she had for dinner. You never know.
We hope that you will read her blog often and let others know about it, too. We believe that once people see the kind of work that goes into being Miss Mississippi, they will have a newfound respect for the title and for the ladies that have served and will serve as our representatives.

2009 PAGEANT SEASON BEGINS
The 2009 Pageant Season is upon us and we have posted the first of the updates to the website detailing the new Local Pageants. There are a total of forty-eight local pageants scheduled to be preliminaries to the 2009 Miss Mississippi Pageant. Some of the pageants have new directors and you'll see that there are some new pageants as well.
The 2009 Miss Mississippi's Outstanding Teen Pageant, held for the first time in April, has forty-one preliminaries scheduled. You will also see some changes in leadership and some new pageants being held as well.
Take some time and learn more about the Local Pageant system by using the menu on the left. Most of the information is in PDF format for easier viewing and printing, but you will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the files. Most computers will already have acrobat installed but here's the LINK, just in case you need it!
