What is your hometown like? My hometown is a small, quaint community with a progressive southern culture. It also has a few small hometown restaurants.
What were you like when you were a child? I’ve been told I was silly and that I liked to please other people. I’ve always been told that I was mature for my age.
Who is the most influential person in your life? My grandfather… Cecil Gregg. Because he always gives me great life advice.
What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize?
People may not realize that I’m very goofy and funny. I like to be make jokes, have fun and make people laugh.
Describe one defining moment in your own life, other than winning your local title:
The most defining moment of my life was the tragic death of my brother-in-law who took his own life due to PTSD. It defined how I could use my passion for dance as a career.
What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss America Program?
It’s not all about pretty dresses… it involves a lot of hard work and dedication. The program also cares about who you are as a person… your character.
If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service?
I feel very passionate about not only spreading the message of suicide awareness, but also reaching those who are and who have struggled with this problem. I also want to be an overall good role model.
What is your secret wish or dream? To find my fairytale!
I’m motivated by: People telling me I can’t do something.
Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform?
Yes; the tragic death of my brother-in-law.
What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime?
The birth of my nieces and nephews.

My best friend would describe me as: “You’re a very talented and versatile person. You’re also naturally considerate and open minded.” – My friend Sophia
Something interesting about my family: My family lived in 6 different states before I was born. I was the family surprise…I was born 12 years after everyone else (3 older siblings).
Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me: I went on a date to New Albany (Mississippi) movie theatre. When I looked up the show time I accidentally looked up New Albany, Indiana. We arrived to find the movie closed…. It was very embarrassing.
One thing I’d like to try that is out of character for me: Do a pageant.
