My platform is ABCDE: Melanoma Skin Cancer Awareness and Prevention. I am super excited to have this opportunity to bring awareness to my platform-because it means so much to me! I have partnered with a local spray tan company in my home town promoting spray tans verses tanning beds! I have promoted my platform at our local Exchange Club, Kiwanis Club, and the New Century Club, as well as local schools bringing awareness. In March 2018 I will be hosting the First Annual Polar Bear Plunge for Relay for Life at Grenada Lake. I will also share my platform and the importance of protecting your skin! I am very excited about this event and hope it will be a great success. I look forward to more Relay for Life events during Melanoma Awareness Month this May! I would love to have the opportunity to become Miss Mississippi’s Outstanding Teen to broaden my audience to bring awareness to this important cause.
