What is your scholastic ambition? I plan to graduate with honors from Mississippi State University with a Major in Business and Minor in music.

Greatest non-academic accomplishment: I was able to sing in Carnegie Hall in New York City.
What is your favorite style of music? Thanks to my dad, both old and new country music are always playing in my car or on my phone.
What is your favorite movie genre and why? My Pa taught me that if I could learn to laugh at myself, I’d always have something to laugh about; so, comedic movies are always my go to!
What is your favorite gadget? My Apple Watch is my most favorite gadget because it’s my phone, computer, and personal trainer all in one.
What is your favorite blog? My former teacher began a blog that I enjoy reading called Leah Elizabeth Blogs.
What is your favorite place to visit? My favorite place to visit is New York City, so I can enjoy Broadway shows and eat cookies from Schmackerys Bakery.
What is your favorite food? Chicken and Waffles is my absolute favorite food.
If you were on a deserted island, what book would you want with you? My favorite novel to read is The Fault in our Stars.

Thing to do on a weekend: When I have down time, I relax and unwind by playing my guitar.
Way to spend a day off: When the weather is warm, my friends and I go to the beach to enjoy the sun and ocean.
What is your hometown like? Lucedale is a quaint town where most people know one another. Our downtown is always hosting events where everyone shops, eats, and enjoys visiting one another.
What were you like when you were a child? Basically, I was nerdy and lived to play music.
Who is the most influential person in your life? My grandparents offer me so much guidance, comfort, and laughter on a daily basis. Their upstanding character and generous hearts have taught me who I want to be.
What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize? When I was young, I had to have all of my baby teeth pulled except two. These were knocked out at gymnastics class.
Describe one defining moment in your own life, other than winning your local title: We were hit from behind in a wreck, which caused me to lose my ability to walk. Thankfully, with time, therapy, faith, and support, my body healed, and I began to get back to my normal activities with a completely new perspective.
What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss America Program? Time management is a must as a participant in this program. In order to effectively manage college classes and the duties of a title holder, every moment must be used wisely.
If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service?
My Miss Mississippi mission would be to challenge the downward spiral of Childhood Obesity. Considering that 3.2 million deaths a year are related to physical inactivity. I am determined to stop that trend by encouraging children to embrace an active lifestyle that can last a lifetime.
What is your secret wish or dream? I want to spend the night in Cinderella’s castle and play the role of Cinderella in Disney World.
I’m motivated by: Goal setting is my motivation. I am a very determined person who works to achieve the goals I set.
Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform? Last summer, while working at a daycare, I noticed how sedentary the children were. While playing dress-up, several children didn’t fit into the costumes. I began then, to get these kids moving.
What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime? Although I was a baby, 9/11 was most definitely an event that shook our nation. It changed our country and made us a stronger nation.
The one thing I can’t live without: I absolutely cannot live without my Nanny’s sweet tea. It’s the best around.
My best friend would describe me as: When I asked her, she said I was funny, loyal, and studious.
Something interesting about my family: My family and I played the part of the Wilsons in the movie, “The Fifth Wave”.
Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me: One summer, we were tubing down the river; my tube flipped, and I lost my swimsuit. Luckily, I was underwater and someone threw me some shorts.
One thing I’d like to try that is out of character for me: I am not much on heights, but I would like to try sky diving.
Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and tell us their names: Between my sister and me, we have had a small farm. Right now, we have a Bulldog named Polo, who happens to have the same birthdate as I do.
