If you were on a deserted island, what book would you want with you? I would bring the Bible because there are so many intricacies within that you are always learning or improving.

What is your hometown like? Oxford is the perfect balance of small town and suburban life. With it being a college town, the weekend are full of fun community activities.
What were you like when you were a child? My pediatrician referred to me as delightful. I was a rather sassy child growing up always looking to perform.
Who is the most influential person in your life? My teammate and fellow captain,has been such an inspiration to me. She continues to demonstrate leadership and maturity at such a young age as she has become a strong support system, helping her mother battle cancer.
What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize? I am an extreme planner. I keep three different calendar sets with me daily to make sure I maintain an organized lifestyles.
Describe one defining moment in your own life, other than winning your local title: Having the opportunity to be presented at the Men’s SEC basketball tournament with the E. Lynn Harris award is the most memorable moment of my college career. It was such an honor to represent the University of Mississippi and the Ole Miss spirit squads.
What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss America Program? The Miss America program has taught me the power of women.Through this organization, each year girls stand up in front of live and televised audiences to voice their views and research on how to combat issues within our society.
If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service? I would want to immediately begin working to bring awareness to my platform and traveling the state of Mississippi educating the younger generations on how to live a healthy life. I would want to serve the community and work every day to give back.
What is your secret wish or dream? I dream to one day own my own CPA firm.
I’m motivated by: Other powerful and confident women who aspire to be a leader in their respective fields.
Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform? Being healthy is something I have always struggled with. I have been in situations where I became obsessive over my eating habits and it led me towards a dangerous path.I plan to work to share how living healthy can be accomplished in an easy to adapt way.
What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime? The most significant event in my life would be the day I was awarded the Chucky Mullins Award. This award has such a strong meaning behind it which made the moment of receipt the most humbling moment of my life.
The one thing I can’t live without: my music
My best friend would describe me as: Loyal. My best friend knows I am always there for her and willing to help her in any way possible. This is a characteristic I attempt to show to people I meet.
Something interesting about my family: For around eight years, we all lived within about fifteen minutes from each other. It was great as all grandchildren were growing up constantly surrounded by strong family support.
Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me: When I competed as a teen, I was in on-stage question competition, to which I completely misheard the question being asked. My response was one that had absolutely nothing to do with the actual question leaving the audience and judges thoroughly confused.
One thing I’d like to try that is out of character for me: I hope to one day go sky diving.I am not one to enjoy jumping off or out of things at a rather high altitude. I think it is good to push myself and face my fears.
