What is your scholastic ambition? My scholastic ambition is to graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi with a BSN to become an RN. I will then further my nursing career and aspire to obtain a degree as a CRNA or nurse anesthetist.

Greatest non-academic accomplishment: The greatest non-academic accomplishment I achieve was the time I was selected to be a Dixie Darling. In this program, leadership skills were taught on a daily basis and friends were formed that would last a lifetime. Lastly, I was taught how to endure and to stay the game.

What is your favorite movie genre and why? My favorite genre of movies would be romantic comedies because I love to laugh as well as experience the romantic feel of the movie that every woman loves. The awkward love moments in the movie seem to captivate me more than any other part.

Thing to do on a weekend: I love to travel on adventurous trips with friends as well as spend time with family.
Way to spend a day off: I like to spend the day outdoors.
What is your hometown like? My hometown is very small in which everyone knows your name. We have Friday night football, Saturday barbeques, and Sunday church.
What were you like when you were a child? As a child, I love being outdoors and always on the go. I was very outgoing and never met a stranger. I convinced everyone that I was right in every situation.
Who is the most influential person in your life? The most influential person in my life is Lilly Hill. She has inspired me to become a nurse anesthetist and further the research on childhood cancer, leukemia.
What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize?
Even though I may come across as a strong and powerful woman, my heart is truly filled with compassion.
Describe one defining moment in your own life, other than winning your local title:
The defining moment in my life was losing my best friend to leukemia and losing my grandmother.
What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss America Program?
I have learned that every woman is different and unique in her own her. I have learned that being in the program is more than just sparkles and spotlights, but this program is about being the voice for individuals that do not have a voice. I have learned that woman have the option to say “Me Too”.
If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service?
If I am crowned Miss Mississippi 2018, I want to be a voice for those that do not have a voice by raising money and awareness for childhood cancer which is the number one killer of children. Further, I want to raise awareness for woman to understand that dreams and goals are not out of their reach.
What is your secret wish or dream? My secret wish is that I would be the researcher that discovers the wherewithal to eradicate cancer.
I’m motivated by: I am motivated by the people that challenged me and doubted that I would ever succeed.
Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform?
My platform of Lilly’s Lifeline is named after my best friend who died of leukemia in the 10th grade. I am raising awareness and money in her name for childhood cancer research.
What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime?
The most significant event in my life would be winning the title of Miss Deep South 2018 so that I can have a platform to raise awareness for childhood leukemia.
The one thing I can’t live without: I cannot live without knowing that I have my Lord and Savior in my life every single day.
My best friend would describe me as: My best friend would describe me as a person who is honest, confident, compassionate, and loving. She would tell you that I would do anything to make sure my friends are happy.
Something interesting about my family: One thing interesting about my family is the fact that we own a blueberry farm. When meeting my family, we may not seem as the typical farming family. However, my family has worked really hard to make our blueberry farm successful.
Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me: The most embarrassing thing happened to me when I was 8 years old. I forgot the words to The National Anthem during the Friday night light’s pregame.
One thing I’d like to try that is out of character for me: Even though I overthink every situation, I would love to try skydiving.
