What is your favorite style of music? I listen to all genres of music, from Dolly Parton to Beyoncé!
What is your favorite movie genre and why? I love movies based on true stories. My favorite movie is “My All-American”, it tells the unbelievable story of Freddie Steinmark and Texas football.
What is your favorite gadget? My Laptop! It keeps me organized and I couldn’t make it through school without it.
What is your favorite blog? I don’t have one favorite. I enjoy all types ranging from fashion to cooking.
What is your favorite place to visit? Jackson, NJ. The tallest roller coaster, Kingda Ka, is there!
What is your favorite food? I love Ichiban. I think I could eat it every day.
If you were on a deserted island, what book would you want with you? I would want the latest book on how to survive on a deserted island!

What is your hometown like? Very Unique! We are home of Mississippi’s Giant House party, The Neshoba County Fair, also Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, Choctaw Indian Fair known for its famous World Champion Stick Ball. We are the home of Williams Brothers, the oldest General Mercantile Store.
What were you like when you were a child? I was a complete Tomboy, which meant no bows or dresses. Some people say I am a daddy’s girl and I was always outside getting into something.
Who is the most influential person in your life? My high school tennis coach. He saw something in me and the kind of player and person I could be. He pushed me to work hard for my dreams. He taught me to never give up and always go after my goals. He taught me to learn from my failures.
What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize? When people meet me they do not realize that I am a complete nerd. I’m a nerd in every way, from reading books to even being a Star Wars fan. I may not show it but I love it.
Describe one defining moment in your own life, other than winning your local title: I tore my ACL two weeks before state tennis tournament. I worked my whole high school career to win a state championship and in a matter of seconds it was gone. After surgery I wanted to give up, but people believed in me and that made me work harder. I never gave up on my dream doing something I love.
What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss America Program? This program is a “Giving” organization. It brings together strong, intelligent women who work for the community and schools promoting important issues. It is about empowering women which has taught me that even though I am only one person, I have a voice and I can make a difference.
If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service? I want to help accomplish the passing of the Senate Bill 2213, which would keep anyone under 18 from using tanning beds. I will continue to place sunscreen dispensers in as many communities as I can, and work with dermatologist to offer free screening throughout Mississippi. I will to continue to learn and to share about all the beautiful unique things about my home state of Mississippi.
What is your secret wish or dream? To be unconditionally happy. No matter what I am doing or where I am in life. I want to always keep my positivity and spread happiness to those around me.
I’m motivated by: I am very self-motivated. I love setting goals, whether they are big or small. The feeling I get by accomplishing them is what motivates me.
Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform? My father, grandfather, grandmother and I have skin cancer. I had my first surgery when I was 12, and a second surgery last year. I want to use my experience to show people that it can happen to anyone at any age if they do not take precaution to protect their skin.
What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime? We are constantly evolving, but the development and technological advances in medicine have the most significance in my lifetime. Medicine is very vital and we have come such a long way in protecting people, and we will continue to progress with every new medical advancement.
The one thing I can’t live without: My car! I am always on the go.
My best friend would describe me as: The person that always has fun in everything I do. I am always smiling and laughing. They also would say I am stubbornly independent.
Something interesting about my family: There has been a member of my family in my small community church since the church was founded over 100 years ago.
Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me: During a big tennis match my senior year; I reached over the net to pick up a tennis ball and I lost my balance and fell right over the top of the net. It took me forever to stop laughing at my self before I could get up.
One thing I’d like to try that is out of character for me: I would love to go cliff jumping into the ocean. I love the adrenaline rush but I am not the biggest fan of swimming in the ocean. I would like to prove to myself that I am stronger than my fears.
Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and tell us their names: I have a little four pound fireball Chihuahua named Cash, whose ears are bigger than he is. He is the most loving dog I have ever had. He is my snuggle buddy!
