What is your hometown like?     It is a small close knit community that is supportive of its community members.

What were you like when you were a child?   Nurturing to my baby dolls, into everything and wanting to be everywhere mom was.

Who is the most influential person in your life?     My parents for all the love and support they have given and continue to give.

What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize?    That I was severely sick for 2 years and had a colectomy as a result.

Describe one defining moment in your own life, other than winning your local title:  The day I found out I would have to have a colectomy in order to get better after a major flare with ulcerative colitis.

What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss America Program?    The importance of giving back to those less fortunate or in need of comforting.

If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service?    To make everyone more aware of UC and Crohn’s and the effect it has not only on one’s body but their mental health as well. 

What is your secret wish or dream?    To be a good artist

I’m motivated by:   Food and sweet tea

Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform?  Yes; when I was 15 I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis after being treated for several other health issues.

What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime?   Having a colectomy at age 15 and having to wear a colostomy bag for 6 + months

The one thing I can’t live without:         My dog and cat                                                        

My best friend would describe me as:    Crazy and energetic

Something interesting about my family:    We are distant descendants of General Robert E Lee

Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me:  The day I cut the seat belt in my dad’s truck when I was little because I didn’t like it.

One thing I’d like to try that is out of character for me:  Hang gliding
