What is your major? Pharmaceutical Science
What is your scholastic ambition? My ambition is to graduate from pharmacy school at the University of Mississippi with a Doctorate of Pharmacy and pursue a career in pharmacy.
List scholastic honors: I was accepted into the Early Entry Pharmacy program at Ole Miss. I am a Provost Scholar and on the Dean’s list. I was Amory High School Valedictorian in 2016.
Greatest non-academic accomplishment: Being selected as an Early Entry Pharmacy mentor for freshmen early entry students. I was also selected for the Ole Miss Student Activities Association.
What is your favorite style of music? I like all typed of music!
What is your favorite movie genre and why? I love comedies because everyone always needs a good laugh.
What is your favorite gadget? My favorite gadget is my iPhone because it makes looking for information so simple.
What is your favorite blog? Fashion by Mayhem because it follows the hilarious stories of an eight year old paper dress fashion designer, and she is cooler than I will ever be.
What is your favorite place to visit? I love the beach! Any beach!
What is your favorite food? I love to eat any type of chicken, especially my grandfather’s fried chicken.
If you were on a deserted island, what book would you want with you? I believe that a survival skills handbook would be very useful.

Way to spend a day off: On a day off, I like to relax and take a break from school work.
What is your hometown like? My hometown, Amory, is very small, but it has so much character. There is not much to do, but when we use our imagination, there is never a dull moment.
What were you like when you were a child? I was a very studious child, and I loved to learn new things. My childhood was an inspiration for my platform, Love2Learn, because I want children to enjoy learning new things as much as I did!
Who is the most influential person in your life? My mother is the most influential person in my life because she never lets me give up on my dreams and ambitions. She works hard until the job is done.
What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize?
People may not realize that I actually am a very outgoing person. From a distance I may seem shy, but after talking to me for five minutes people quickly change their minds.
Describe one defining moment in your own life, other than winning your local title:
Getting into the Early Entry Pharmacy program at Ole Miss has really set the path for the rest of my life. Once I finish my undergraduate studies with the required GPA, I am already accepted into pharmacy school. That is a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.
What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss America Program?
I have learned so many vital communication skills. Through the interview process, I have learned to talk to strangers, friends, and anybody with more poise and confidence.
If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service?
I would strive to be the best Miss Mississippi possible while representing this great state. I would volunteer in elementary schools, and implement my mentoring and tutoring program so that students that are falling behind can have more one on one interaction. I hope that this extra time will help these students love to learn new things.
What is your secret wish or dream? My secret wish is to have a beautiful singing voice.
I’m motivated by: I am motivated by my goals. My goals help me look toward the future and never stop reaching.
Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform?
Yes. I was a student that was always eager to learn something new, and that has made me a better student. I believe that if elementary students develop a passion to learn at their age they will be better students and eventually be great leaders.
What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime?
The most significant world event that has occurred during my lifetime was 9/11. Even though I was only three years old, we are still living in a world affected by that day.
The one thing I can’t live without: The constant support of my family and friends
My best friend would describe me as: She would probably describe me as available because I am always up for dinner, movies, or just to talk.
Something interesting about my family: My father is recently retired after 32 years in the military. My great uncle, Jerry Brown, has pottery on display in the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C.
Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me: My mom and I thought that someone was in our house while we were home alone because we kept hearing a phone ring. After we called multiple relatives and neighbors to come and check our house late at night we found that it was just my iPad receiving messages upstairs. Although we were embarrassed, we were very thankful that so many people were willing to check on us at such a late hour!
One thing I’d like to try that is out of character for me: I would like to go skydiving even though I am not too fond of heights.
Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and tell us their names: I have a poodle named Coco who is 15 years old, and a Yorkie named Odie. I have had Coco since preschool and everyone makes fun of his girl name.
