What is your hometown like? Oneonta is the epitome of the saying, “It takes a village.” Having grown up in this small town, I witnessed firsthand the closeness of a loving community, rich in tradition.
What were you like when you were a child? Sassy to say the very least- but when you live in a house full of boys you have to find a way to hold your own!
Who is the most influential person in your life? My mom- I rely on her for everything from critiquing my dance routines to making sure I don’t burn cookies while baking!
What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize? I grew up doing musical theatre, so ever since I was a child I have been a total Broadway buff! Nine times out of ten, showtunes are playing at maximum volume in my car.

If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service? I recently saw a quote that said, “Be somebody that makes everyone feel like a somebody.” That is my goal: to be completely present in every situation and make each person I meet feel important and loved!

Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform? Yes! One of my very best friends founded Dancers Fighting Cancer when he was in his first year of remission from bone cancer. I grew up dancing with him and was close to his family, so it only seemed fitting to make this my platform!
What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime? The introduction of social media definitely was a game changer for my generation. It gives people the power to instantly connect with loved ones from all over the world, something that hasn’t been possible until the past couple of decades.
The one thing I can’t live without: My watch
My best friend would describe me as: Probably loud, but not necessarily in a bad way! I am always talking, singing, and laughing, and once I get started it’s hard to get me to stop.
Something interesting about my family: Although we have a pretty big age gap, both of my brothers and I all went to the same school K-12th grade and even had the same Kindergarten and First Grade teachers!
Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me: During a rainy football game, I slipped in our halftime performance and completely busted it in front of a sold out crowd. I got up though, and my teammates and I laughed the entire rest of the halftime show!
One thing I’d like to try that is out of character for me: I am terrified of the ocean, but I would really like to go on a cruise!
Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and tell us their names: I have two precious dogs- an overfed Yorkie named Molly and a puffball of a Pomeranian, Sophie!
