As a roadrunner, I have opportunity to give tours and write postcards to perspective MSU students. This organization has given me the ability to give back to my university and share my love of Mississippi State.

Way to spend a day off: My ideal day off is spent relaxing and visiting with family.
What is your hometown like? Even thinking about my hometown brings a smile to my face, because it is one of those small Mississippi towns that you read about in magazines where you never meet a stranger, and the people love Jesus, family and football.
What were you like when you were a child? I would consider myself very bubbly as a child! I was raised to be versatile, so I loved riding on the tractor in the field with my uncle just as much as I loved dressing up like a princess. I would dance, sing, and play the piano for anyone that was willing to watch or listen.
Who is the most influential person in your life? My Grandma Billie has always had a huge impact on my life. While my parents were at work, I would stay at her house. She raised herself with the help of her older sister, and because of that she has always enforced the importance of education, hard work, and determination. I strive every day to be more like her
What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize?
I love shopping for clothes and accessories, but one thing people may not know is I am a major bargain shopper! One of my favorite ways to find affordable outfits is by shopping at consignment stores!
Describe one defining moment in your own life, other than winning your local title:
The first time I ever laced up a pair of pointe shoes, I was in 5th grade. I remember thinking “This is the opportunity I have been looking forward to for so long, and now I finally get to fulfill my dream of being a ballerina!”
What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss America Program?
The Miss America Organization opens so many doors for young women across the country, but most importantly it gives them the opportunity to give back to their communities, states, and country by promoting education, service, and confidence.
If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service?

I’m motivated by: knowing I am a role model that can make a difference. Realizing that there are children and peers influenced by my actions makes me strive to be a better person.
Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform? Yes! Working as a dental assistant at a dentist office in my hometown has given me the opportunity to be exposed to so many children that do not have the materials needed to take proper care of their teeth. Witnessing this inspired me to partner with America’s Tooth Fairy and work to bring smiles to the faces of every child in Mississippi.
What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime?
Because I plan to have a career in the medical field, I am fascinated by the advancements that have been made regarding cancer research and treatment in my lifetime. Cancer has affected the lives of all of us in one way or another, and I am constantly impressed by the strides being made to find a cure and give patients a better quality of life.
The one thing I can’t live without: Music! Whether I’m in my car or completing classwork on my computer, I always have music playing in the background.
My best friend would describe me as: uplifting, joyful, and dedicated.
Something interesting about my family: Both sides of my family are very close. All of the members of my mom’s immediate family eat lunch together every Sunday after church and have for over 50 years.
Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me: I frequently say hi to people that I don’t know, because they say hello to someone walking behind me, and I don’t realize that they are not, in fact, speaking to me until it is too late.
One thing I’d like to try that is out of character for me: I’ve recently fallen in love with traveling, but I haven’t flown to another country yet. The thought of flying over an ocean for multiple hours scares me just a little. I think it would be fun to face my fear, fly to Europe and visit 7 countries in 7 day.
Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and tell us their names: I don’t have any pets
