What is your favorite movie genre and why?  I love almost every genre except horror, I don’t really have a favorite!

What is your hometown like?  My hometown is very small, everybody knows everybody!

What were you like when you were a child?  I was super rambunctious!  I stayed into something all the time.

Who is the most influential person in your life?       My grandfather is my role model.  He’s a loving, God-fearing man who adores his family.

What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize?

Most people don’t realize I actually love school and to learn!  I’m a self-proclaimed nerd.

Describe one defining moment in your own life, other than winning your local title:

My last basketball game as a senior: I shot and made my first three pointer as the buzzer went off.

What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss America Program?

This program has taught me that true beauty is in the way you treat others around you.  A gracious heart is beautiful!

If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service?

I want to advocate my platform as well as be a role model that parents want their kids to look up to.

What is your secret wish or dream?  I’ve secretly always wanted to be a model.

I’m motivated by:  My mom.  She’s my number one fan and never lets me give up.

Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform?

I chose Alzheimer’s Awareness in honor of my grandmother.  She passed away after a seven year battle with this disease.

What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime?

This past summer I had a few health scares that really strengthened my faith in God.

The one thing I can’t live without:         cell phone service

My best friend would describe me as:  supportive and always trying to make people feel comfortable, no matter where we are.

Something interesting about my family:         My parents met on a blind date.

Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me:  I asked how to mow astro turf.

One thing I’d like to try that is out of character for me:  I’d love to scuba dive even though I’m terrified of the ocean.

Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and tell us their names:  A beagle named Charlie, a yorkie named Chewie, and two cats named Ripple and Archie.
