What is your major? Interdisciplinary Studies with focuses in Biology, Kinesiology, and Psychology
What is your scholastic ambition? To receive a degree in Bachelor of Science and become an Optometrist.

Greatest non-academic accomplishment: I was honored to be chosen as a Bully’s Belle at Mississippi State University. I love being able to meet so many people and experience Davis Wade Stadium first-hand on football game days, while sharing my love for MSU and the impacts it’s athletes have as role models.
What is your favorite style of music? Pop rock
What is your favorite movie genre and why? I enjoy Period Romance because it is interesting to see the way traditions and customs of this time played into romantic relationships. The movie Pride and Prejudice is the perfect example of this because the Bennet girls always make the romantic customs interesting and humorous. I also love the elegant style of dresses worn at the time.
What is your favorite gadget? I absolutely love my Keurig. College has brought out my inner “coffee- lover.”

What is your favorite place to visit? Capri, Italy, is an amazingly beautiful place, with it’s crystal blue water and beautiful stone arches. From the time we arrived in the port, I knew I was in love. Add in the view from the center of Capri,which shows everything from the ocean to the beautiful streets and shops around the island, and you can easily see why this is my favorite.
What is your favorite food? My parents have always encouraged my siblings and I to try new things. I still remember the first time I tried sushi. I fell in love and still order sushi every chance I get.
If you were on a deserted island, what book would you want with you? The Hunger Games Series is amazing. The story line is very interesting. Plus, being on a deserted island could call for some of my inner Katniss bravery and perseverance to surface.
Do you twitter? Yes, it is a great way to stay connected especially with news outlets as well as sports networks.

Thing to do on a weekend: I love exercising by running through my hometown of Kosciusko. It is such a beautiful place.
Way to spend a day off: I am always up for wake boarding on a sunny day with friends and family.
What is your hometown like? Kosciusko is full of history and character. It is a quaint small city in the heart of Mississippi.
What were you like when you were a child? As a middle child, my parents always described me as “easy-going.” Even then I was happy, bubbly, and clumsy.
Who is the most influential person in your life? My mother always encourages me to push myself to reach my goals. She has instilled a sense of tenacity in me and love for serving others through healthcare.
What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize? I have a laid-back personality, but after getting to know me people realize I am very driven. When I set a goal, I give it my all.
Describe one defining moment in your own life, other than winning your local title: The sudden loss of my family friend and physician, Dr. Gary Holdiness, changed my life. He will always be an inspiration to me, and because of this event I not only learned the importance of caring for others but it also taught me to embrace the motto “Carpe Diem.”
What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss America Program? It has taught me how important service is and that one person really can make a difference. My platform, S.C.O.R.E., hasquickly taken hold, and knowing that I could be making a difference in the lives of young high school athletes is truly amazing.
If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service? I want to bring attention to all of the wonderful aspects of Mississippi. I also hope to increase awareness of my platform, S.C.O.R.E., and use it to further connections between communities and high school sports teams.
What is your secret wish or dream?I would love to be an Olympic athlete, but I am too clumsy.
I’m motivated by: I believe in self-motivation. I love to set goals for myself and work towards them.
Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform? As a cheerleader in highschool, I realized that I was in a position to set anexample, because children look up to high school athletes so much. Understanding that is what really made me want to start S.C.O.R.E.
What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime? The birth of my younger brother changed my life. He made me realize that I should always be a good role model, and he constantly encourages me to embrace opportunities.
The one thing I can’t live without: Most people do not realize that Reese’s Peanut Butter cups taste better after being frozen. I cannot last for long without my frozen Reese’s cups.
My best friend would describe me as: I’ve been described as genuine. I believe in being yourself and constantly striving to become your best self.
Something interesting about my family: My family tries to stay technologically savvy so we use a “GroupMe” app to communicate with each other. We love being able to share news with the whole family at once.
Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me: I was on ESPN once, but it was not for what most people expect. I was shown stuffing my face with a hamburger, but on the bright side it tasted very good!
One thing I’d like to try that is out of character for me: I would love to try sky-diving. I am scared of heights, but my dad pushes my siblings and me to overcome our fears.
Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and tell us their names:I have a standard poodle named Louie. He can be very elegant in one moment and a complete klutz the next.
