What makes you special and unique? My high standards make me different from many other girls my age. I have incredible goals for my life that drive me to have different standards and values in order for me to make the most out of life and achieve my goals
What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize? I really enjoy biking and camping. I am kind of a girly girl at first glance but when I get the chance I love to spend time with my daddy on a bike or in the middle of nowhere in a tent
Best advice you have ever received? The best advice I have ever received is to always give glory to God in everything that I do
What can’t you live without? Music. I am able to express all of my emotions and feelings through music. Without music I wouldn’t be able to participate in my favorite hobbies such as singing and dancing
What is your biggest guilty pleasure? Eating Mississippi Cheese Straws and watching Pretty Little Liars
What is your favorite movie genre and why? I really love historical fiction because it is more captivating and interesting than just reading a history book. However, it teaches you about certain time periods and I really enjoy different eras in time
Where do you see yourself in ten years? In ten years I hope to have graduated with a bachelors degree of law from Harvard University and to be living in New York pursuing a job on Broadway as an actor. I want to work on Broadway but if that doesn’t work out I would really like to be a lawyer. I don’t know if I will be married yet, but I know that God has an amazing plan for my life
Most valuable lesson learned? My most valuable lesson learned is to always give everything that I have. My show choir director has taught me that unless I am giving everything that I have in everything that I do I am hurting myself and building bad habits. I try to live this out in everything that I have from show choir to academics to church
Most valued role model (other than your mother) and why? Mrs. Jan Hankins is my role model. She is my Sunday school teacher and is an incredibly Godly woman. She knows that she is not perfect but continues to strive to honor God
What motivates you? I am motivated by knowing what I am capable of doing and having someone to constantly push me to be the best I can be
Greatest non-academic accomplishment other than winning your local title? I was selected to become a member of my school’s nationally acclaimed show choir as a sophomore
Best compliment you have ever received? I am always flattered when people say they have noticed Godly characteristics in me
Secret wish or dream? I secretly wish to become the biggest Broadway star the world has ever seen
What is the funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you? In eighth grade I got my first detention. I was bored with what the teacher was saying so I decided to read. The teacher caught me and despite my full page of notes she awarded me with a detention. I was so embarrassed because it was so out of character for me to get in trouble
What is one thing you’d like to try that is out of character for you? I would really like to go skydiving for my 18th birthday. I don’t think I will actually do it because I would be thinking of all of the possible ways that I could die or hurt myself while doing it
What is your super power? I would like to be able to shape shift and take on all of the characteristics of the thing I turn into. So if I turned into Super Man I would have all of his powers. Or if I became a guinea pig I would be able to squeak like a guinea pig
What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss Mississippi Program? I have learned self confidence from being involved in the Miss Mississippi Program. I have learned to push myself and believe in myself. I have also learned to promote my platform everywhere I go
Describe yourself in one word. Ambitious
A Fun Family Fact? My family loves to have taco night at my house! We invite a few friends over or just have a fun family night with homemade chips and guacamole. My dad also makes legendary soft taco shells that melt in your mouth. I could eat about five tacos in one sitting

I am a fun loving, hardworking 16-year-old sophomore at Clinton High School with big dreams! I am a member of the award winning, nationally recognized show choir, Attaché. I enjoy singing everything and everywhere whether I am in church or at school or even in the grocery store. I really would like to perform as Glinda the Good Witch on Broadway, but I have a backup plan of becoming a lawyer. I enjoy giving all that I can in every part of my life. I strive for excellence in my schoolwork by maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I have very high hopes of what I want to do with my life and I try to prepare myself for the best. I live in Clinton, Mississippi with my mom, dad and little sister. We enjoy family dinners at my Gigi’s house at least once a week. I attend First Baptist Church of Clinton where I am actively involved in the youth group. I use my vocal talents by serving on our youth praise team. I am also a 7 year state superior bible driller. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends but sometimes I prefer to sit in my room by myself and immerse myself in a good book

In the spring of 2012, I was diagnosed with Essential Tremors at age 13. Essential Tremors (ET) is a hereditary disorder, which we have traced back to my paternal grandfather. ET is most common in middle-aged and older people and not many people are diagnosed with it at my age. My ETs are most prevalent in my hands and somewhat affect my ability to type on a computer and write, things I do on a daily basis. Since my diagnosis, I have become aware of the International Essential Tremors Foundation. My hope is that through this foundation there will be more research that will not only benefit me, but also other people diagnosed with this disorder. I make others aware of this foundation by telling my story to as many people as I can. I have competed many hours of research about ET and the IETF. I have become a member of the IETF and have joined their efforts to raise money to further research, and also to raise awareness of ET to those around me. If I am selected as Miss Mississippi’s Outstanding Teen, I will work diligently to promote my platform and also the Miss America Outstanding Teen Program
