What is your major? Nursing
What is your scholastic ambition? My plan is to pursue a career in nursing with specialties in Labor and Delivery and Neonatal Care. I also want to become a Child LifeSpecialist.

Greatest non-academic accomplishment: My greatest non-academic accomplishmentis being the first speed painter at Miss Mississippi.
What is your favorite style of music? I enjoy listening to Inspirational music.
What is your favorite movie genre and why? I believe in laughter and happy ever after, so I love romantic comedies.

What is your favorite blog? Everyday Power blog is a motivational blog that I enjoy.
What is your favorite place to visit? My favorite place to visit is the beach.
What is your favorite food? My favorite food is roasted asparagus.
If you were on a deserted island, what book would you want with you? I would definitely need my Bible for inspiration, encouragement and strength.

What is your hometown like? My hometown is quite small and quiet. We have less than 500 residents, an igloo handi-mart, a beauty shop and a blinking 4 way stop light.
What were you like when you were a child? I was a bit head strong and independent when I was a child. Even though I wasn’t supposed to, I loved to paint onmy bathroom door.
Who is the most influential person in your life? My brother, Rob, is my most valued role model. He is my protector, supporter, and encourager. He believes in me, and we love each other unconditionally.
What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize? One thing most people do not realize about me is that I’m a country girl at heart! I love to bush hog.
Describe one defining moment in your own life, other than winning your local title: I was fortunate to witness an emergency caesarean section while attending clinicals at Gilmore Memorial Regional Hospital. Witnessing this caesarean section definitely reaffirmed my dream of becoming a labor and delivery nurse.
What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss America Program? I have learned that the crown does not make the girl, the girl makes the crown.
If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service? The Miss America program has allowed for growth and improvement in so many areas of my life. The emphasis on service is a win for all. I take pride in my platform, Art with Heart, and I would love to become Miss Mississippi to further the cause and dedicate myself and others to the emotional well-being of children adversely affected byhardship, and by using creativity to lead to inspired possibilities.
What is your secret wish or dream? My secret wish … I’d love to be able to wiggle my nose and my room would automatically be clean!!
I’m motivated by: Overcoming my fears… Through encouragement, hard work, and preparation, I can make a difference by stepping out of my comfort zone.
Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform? My childhood was pretty turbulent at times. Art was a way of providing comfort and healing for me. Through that healing I have become connected with Art with Heart/Helping Children Heal Through Creativity.
What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime? The terrorist attacks on 9-11 affected the world on a huge scale and changed us all.
The one thing I can’t live without: I can’t live without God’s forgiveness for when I have failed Him, and His guidance to become a better Christian.
My best friend would describe me as: She would describe me as an honest,loyal, caring, and trustworthy friend who wants to be the reason everyone smiles.
Something interesting about my family: In my family, girls outnumber boys 4:1.
Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me: My canvas was strapped to the top of my car, and I drove into a rain storm. The canvas was destroyed, and people passing by, I’m sure, wondered why I thought that was a good idea. A valuable lesson was learned.
One thing I’d like to try that is out of character for me: I have abland palate, so I would like to fly around the world and try different cuisines.
Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and tell us their names: I have two fur babies. LynnLee Grace is a miniature Dachshund and is anything but miniature at 20 pounds, and Tara is a rambunctious Yorkie weighing in at 8 pounds.
