If you were on a deserted island, what book would you want with you?  I think I would have to say one of those “For Dummies”books on how to survive on a deserted island.

Do you twitter?  I do twitter, but I’m almost positive I am the only one who finds my tweets funny.

What is your favorite?

Thing to do on a weekend: I’m normally dancing at something, but if I actually get a weekend off I like to spend it with my family and friends.

Way to spend a day off:  I love being lazy and watching Netflix on my days off.

What is your hometown like?  My hometown is very small, but we are all like a close family. I feel like Hattiesburg is a lot like my hometown but on a much larger scale, which is why it feels so much like home.

What were you like when you were a child? I was very energetic, dramatic, and probably the biggest diva you would ever meet. When I was five I did a small pageant, and I told my Granny to go get the crown so we could go to Burger King.

Who is the most influential person in your life?  My Granny, who passed away a few years ago. She was the strongest woman I have ever met, and she truly believed that I could conquer the world.

What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize? I always think that someone is going to surprise me, even on just a regular day. Therefore, no-one can surprise me.

Describe one defining moment in your own life, other than winning your local title:I participated in the Distinguished Young Woman Program during High School, and I put in a lot of hard work for my local pageant. When I won, I felt like all my hard work paid off, and it made me realize that if I set my mind to something and follow through with it, I can accomplish my dreams.

What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss America Program?I have learned to believe in myself a lot more. The amount of confidence this program instills in your is unbelievable. If I can walk on stage in a bathing suit, I feel like I can conquer anything.

If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service? I really hope to spread awareness for my platform, The Insecurely Movement. It’s all about dealing with Insecurities that society creates. I have a real passion for instilling confidence in young girls and teens. I feel like at any age understanding how important and special you are is vital.

What is your secret wish or dream?  I secretly always have dreamed to be a princess at Disney World. I feel like everything would be so happy all the time.

Im motivated by:  Little eyes watching me. Growing up in a dance studio, I have always had little eyes watching me and they always motivate me to be my very best, because that’s what they deserve.

Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform? It all started with my talent song from my preliminary pageant calledInsecurely, which was created as part of the Insecurely Movement. Everyone deals with Insecurities, including myself, but I plan to do all that I can to help girls overcome and be confident in the insecurities that society has created.

What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime? When my Granny passed away, I took it really hard. She was my best friend, and I was so devastated. However, after her death, I realized who strong I was. I realized that she may be gone but she left her strength and love with me. I think it helped me really realize who I was and wanted to become.

The one thing I cant live without:Dance—It’s like a therapy to me.

My best friend would describe me as:  Super Silly, I’m always dancing around or doing something funny. Nine Times out of Ten my friends are recording me on SnapChat doing something silly.

Something interesting about my family:   My family has always been brutally honest with each other, but at the end of the day, if someone else says something about one of us, it upsets us. We are only allowed to pick on each other.

Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me:  I was in the Gym working out and I decided to do this ab roller workout. Well, apparently I didn’t know how to do it and fell onto my face right as a worker walked by. He laughed at me and then went and told everyone else working. My face was so red.

One thing Id like to try that is out of character for me:  I would love to participate in a Color Run, which is out of character for me because I do not really enjoy running.

Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and tell us their names:  I personally don’t have any pets, but my older sister has a precious Shitzu named LuLu and she is our Diva Dog.
