What is your favorite movie genre and why? Family/Inspirational drama. I am realistic and so many real life lessons can be learned . I like to “feel” a movie and decide on how I would deal with that challenge as if it was my very own.

What is your hometown like? Reserved, family, church oriented. Small, but vibrant in the summer time-children playing on manicured lawns, family and friends walking together, flowers blooming, gardens colorful.
What were you like when you were a child? My imagination was larger than the universe; very adventurous and I wanted to be everyone’s friend.
Who is the most influential person in your life? Besides my parents, Mary Jane Westerlund, with so much knowledge and wisdom and her inspirational stories, has had a tremendous impact on my life.
What is the one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize? The humorous side of my personality. Although I am serious-minded individual, I like to laugh because it’s a healthy benefit.

What is one important thing you have learned from being in the Miss America Program? It’s not all about winning the crown, because the person makes the crown. If you are crowned Miss Mississippi, what do you want to accomplish during your Year of Service? Help make an impact in helping significantly reduce the number of Mississippi teen Pregnancy.
What is your secret wish or dream? To be a princess at Disney World

Is there a personal connection that made you pick your personal platform? Being a teen-ager makes me have a personal connection to my platform. Promoting my platform will give me more incentive and encouragement to honor my moral value to demonstrate self-discipline.
What do you think has been the most significant event in your lifetime? 4-H Youth Guest Speaker at the United State Senate Annual Transportation and Technology Dinner on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. addressing the impact of technology on the lives of today’s Youth and the innovative social medial program by MS 4-H
